Burnham Chamber of Trade

 

 

       

The Burnham-on-Crouch Chamber of Trade and Commerce is a voluntary organisation formed to assist local businesses in various ways.
With affiliation to the Essex Chambers, itself a member of the British Chambers of Commerce, the Burnham-on-Crouch Chamber of Trade and Commerce has representation at each level of Local Authority, through County Council Level on to Government.

Burnham Chamber has recently amalgamated with Maldon Chamber of Trade to represent the business community on a district basis.


The Chamber endeavours to work in the best interests of the people in the district of Burnham-on-Crouch and the surrounding area; it has considerable influence in local matters which are important to members of the trading community.    

These are just some of the benefits available to Members: 

  • Access to services, advice and information covering training, business law, foreign trade, and a host of other topics either free of charge or at a greatly reduced cost.

  • A comprehensive Reference Library and access to the Internet.

  • A Desk Diary incorporating listings of all the current Members of Essex Chambers.

  • A free comprehensive Business Directory (currently retailing at £25)

  • A free Monthly Magazine – new member details are entered free in the first magazine published, following the date joining, PLUS an advertisement for your company in the first issue – to include a photograph and up to 100 words, for the reduced price of £50.

  • The opportunity to meet with local business colleagues, to discuss and solve common concerns.

  • Monthly networking luncheons (first free, subsequent luncheons £12 per head) giving the opportunity to mix with other business people.   Average attendances are 70 at Colchester and 50 each at Chelmsford and Southend.   You may attend any or all of the luncheons in the different areas.

  • Regular corporate events (such as Cricket Days, etc.)

  • Chamber Golf Society through which a quarterly Golf Day is run

  • Business Women's network luncheons twice a year, with a prominent Speaker.   This event is very popular with attendance normally 80 to 100 people.

  • A wide programme of seminars throughout the year on a variety of topics.
