Dengie Hundred Probus Club
The Dengie Hundred Probus Club is for
retired professional and business gentlemen. Probus is an
international organisation with over 1600 Clubs throughout the UK.
The Dengie Hundred Club was formed in 1982 so gentlemen of the
Dengie and surrounding districts are eligible to join.
Our membership is made up of men from all facets of professional and
business occupations.
We meet monthly in Burnham on Crouch at the Royal Corinthian yacht
Club for a social gathering followed by a luncheon, usually there is
a speaker on various subjects of interest to the Members.
Members themselves are often the speaker sometimes talking about
their own career.
Twice a year ladies and guests are invited to a lunch for our
anniversary and Christmas celebrations.
At different times of the year we go on trips to places of interest
to Members. In August instead of our usual meeting we go for a
voyage up the river Crouch to a suitable place for lunch. As a
number of Members own yachts both sail and motor other Members join
them for the sail.
