Adult Community Learning Essex  has a centre based in St Peters High School at Burnham on Crouch to complement the centres at Wickford, South Woodham Ferrers and Maldon. 

The majority of courses in this area are run at Maldon Friary.

Although many of these courses commence during September a wide variety of courses starting in January or February. 

The courses on offer provide for general qualifications such as O level and vocational qualifications such as food safety certificates.

Hobby based courses and courses offers skills for life are also available.
