Burnham Railway Station and the Crouch Valley Line

The Crouch Valley line is a branch line built in 1889 running 16.5 miles from Southminster to Wickford.

Stations on the line are Battlesbridge, South Woodham Ferrers, North Fambridge, Althorne, Burnham-on-Crouch, Southminster.

Regular electric trains operated by Greater Anglia run on the line which include through trains to London Liverpool Street at busy periods.

Trains have a conductor to collect fares and check tickets although ticket offices are open from early morning to about 11am on weekdays at Burnham and Southminster Railways Stations.

Regular Service

Trains run on an hourly basis arriving from Wickford at 44 minutes past the hour and departing to Wickford at 21 minutes past the hour.

During rush hour periods services are more frequent at different times.

Parking

Parking is available at Burnham Railway Station for a charge depending on length of time parked.
